Starting Pitcher Streamer Rankings: 5/20, 5/21, and 5/22
As an expert in fantasy baseball, I provide daily rankings of starting pitchers for streaming purposes, considering matchups and team dynamics. These rankings are designed for 12-team leagues and are categorized into four tiers: Auto-Start, Probably Start, Questionable Start, and Do Not Start.
On Wednesday, 5/20, the Auto-Start tier includes Chris Sale, Cam Schlittler, and Shohei Ohtani, all facing favorable matchups. Merrill Kelly and Kyle Harrison are Probably Starts, with strong matchups and high PLV ratings. Early, Wacha, and Hancock are also considered Probably Starts, with decent matchups and overall solid performances.
Questionable Starts include Edward Cabrera, Michael McGreevy, Carmen Mlodzinski, Trey Yesavage, Randy Vásquez, Sean Burke, Andrew Abbott, Tanner Bibee, and Shane Baz. These pitchers have varying levels of risk and potential, with some showing promise in specific matchups.
Do Not Starts include Tyler Mahle, Mike Burrows, Aaron Nola, Zach Thornton, Janson Junk, Aaron Civale, Steven Matz, Jack Leiter, Jack Kochanowicz, and Zack Littell. These pitchers are generally not recommended due to poor command, high risk, or unfavorable matchups.
The rankings for Thursday, 5/21, and Friday, 5/22, are also provided, with similar tiers and considerations. PL Pro members have access to additional streaming rankings and a 14-day Sit/Start SP Grid for further analysis.
These rankings are based on matchups, pitcher skills, and team dynamics, and are subject to change. The author emphasizes the importance of streaming in fantasy baseball, acknowledging that it is a risky strategy but can be successful when executed well.
