Upcoming Husky Stars: Summer Highlights of 2027 Recruits (2026)

The Husky football program is in the midst of a quiet recruiting period, but that doesn't mean there's nothing exciting happening on the horizon. As the coaches take a break before the season starts, it's a great time to take a look at some of the current commits who are shining during the summer months. One standout is Tre Moore, a 4-star wide receiver from Pflugerville Weiss HS in Texas. Moore's size and physicality are impressive, standing at 6'3" and around 200 pounds. His ability to come in and play right away next year is a huge plus, and Husky fans should be excited to see him in action over the coming months. Personally, I think Moore has the potential to be a real game-changer for the team, and I can't wait to see him in the P&G. Another standout is Isala Aisa Wiley-Ava, a 3-star safety from California. Wiley-Ava's speed and ability to track down balls make him an elite safety at the next level. While most people think he'll slot into an in-the-box safety role, I believe he has the potential to be an above-average coverage safety in Coach Walters' defense. This season will be a fun one to watch for Wiley-Ava, and I suspect he'll have another strong year in the Trinity League. As we head into the season, we'll start to see some more movement in the recruiting class. With 24 commits already in the class, the Huskies will likely want to add 2-3 more commits. Last weekend, I detailed some flip candidates to watch, and I'm sure there will be more movement in the coming months. The current 2027 commit list is very strong, and there are several commits whose rankings are somewhat low relative to their production. We should see some climbs in the rankings over the coming months as these players continue to shine. In my opinion, the Husky program is in a great position with its current commits, and I'm excited to see how they develop over the next few years. The future looks bright for the Huskies, and I can't wait to see what the coaches do in the coming months as they continue to build a strong recruiting class.
